NDT policy protects the environment and seeks to minimize risks to climate, human health and biodiversity. The NDT Make North Green Again Campaign aims to make north the region’s first carbon-neutral and green region, in part by planting trees in the regions districts and by developing cleaner sources of energy and green technologies.



In 2019, December 27, Nyika Development Trust went out to various schools to plant trees as part of the campaign. This was warmly welcomed by head teachers of these schools as it showed the students their role in conserving the environment. Similar to that in 2020 and 2021 NDT also

went to different schools and village headed forests to plant trees as part of the campaign.
